Default Cub 1200

I'm new to the forum here and also new to Cub Cadets. I just recently picked up a Cub Cadet 1200. It's had the engine rebuilt and runs great. It also came with a mower deck. What I'm wanting to know is where can I find a sleeve hitch and plow for it. I am wanting to use it to plow my garden. Any responses will help a lot being that I'm clueless. Thanks in advance.

Welcome Wes

You will need a rear lift, a sleeve hitch adapter and plow. I would also suggest either ag tires or chains on turfs plus wheel weights.

I make heavy duty sleeve hitches and other parts.

Sleeve hitch adapter

Lift pin that fits in the rear lift casting

Not sure if you need this for the rear casting pivot. If the holes are 7/8" you need "Frankenstein bolts". If they are 5/8", then a rod is what you use

Here is a picture of Narrow frame ( you have a wide frame and they will be slightly different ) rear lift parts plus a spring assist

click for bigger picture

This is the type of plow you want to get

Jeff
So your sleeve hitch adapter is what I need plus bolts. Then all I would need is the plow?

Do you have a rear lift? ( the casting with lift bar that connects to the lift handle or hydraulic cylinder )

Can you post pictures of your 1200?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
