I picked up another 42" snowplow this weekend. owner bought it new with his 1862. it looks wierd though, compared to all the other cub ones I've seen. anyone else have one like this? it has wierd front pivot mount, and also the height things on either corner. I am thinking of trying to make it fit my 1782, by lengthening the frame or making a new one. I would like a 54 that fits mine, but they don't come up very often near me, and I don't get much snow anyhow. kinda just want it for the novelty.
it came with the manual, but the pics look like the standard 42 blade. nothing like this one. I also looked thru all the manuals here and saw nothing like it as well.

Has a cub subframe but definitely not an IH cub blade. Also after looking at it it has a Cyclops subframe and lift rod bracket.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
