Default disc plus plow at once?

I picked up a brinly disc today, and was wondering what the odds that my 100 would be able to pull my one bottom (10 inch) and the disc at the same time. I think probably not, but I thought someone here might have some first hand input/experience.

Thanks.

Unless the disk is only one row wide, you're gonna be trying to disk ground that hasn't been plowed yet...

I know that part, but wouldn't it still work the ground that was being plowed?

Seems like if it will work that way, it would save me a lot of time, assuming it won't kill my poor tractor.

Personally, I don't think you will get very good results. You'll also probably run out of traction.

You'll need to use them separately. Unless you have acres of garden to plow/disc, it's not going to take you that long by switching attachments.

About 3 acres is what I'm looking at.

Thanks. That's what I thought, but I figured I'd ask.

3 Acres? You really need a small farm tractor.

It would take DAYS to plow up 3 acres with a single bottom plow and a Cub Cadet!

Your 100 will have it's hands full just pulling a 10 inch plow...let alone a disk and plow combonation. It's best to leave the fresh plowed soil dry out some after you plow. A tiller will work the soil faster than a disk plus you won't have as much soil compaction with a tiller. Wide tires on the front and/or duals or wide tires on the rear helps to reduce soil compaction. I have a disk...don't use it because of the above reasons.

It took 10 to 20 garden tractors 4 to 5 hours to plow 12 acres at Ohio Plow Day last fall.

Are you planning to have a food stand to sell fresh produce?

Food plots for shootin deers.

I'm hoping I can get the plowing done in a long weekend, think that's plausible?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
