The K321 in my 1450 has a noticeable oval in the cylinder and I wanted to just buy a new block off Ebay. But would it be cheaper to buy a block or get the existing block bored over?

Depends on if yours can be bored to the right size. Have a shop mic it and see if you can get a piston to fit what would be needed

You can get over size pistons. My local machine shop will bore and hone a block for $60.

Depends on your ability. Always cheaper to rebuild yourself, than to buy new. Just depends on if you want the liability, or someone else to carry it.

I don't have any tools to bore out a block. I'll have to get to it this spring. My 1250 will have to take over work duties. She was my old work tractor anyways. I'll get back to you guys this spring when it's not under a tarp and -9 degrees out.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
