Hey!
I currently own a 1015. And I have my eye on a older unit. Its all Yellow!! NO WHITE PAINT. I. Want to say its a 147. I know its a 14 horse Kohler K series..And it has a plow. (HOPEFULLY. A dozer blade) it costs $300. I'm looking to use it to pull my wood cart and plow dirt and snow. And just to ride around on. I have never seen a all yellow cub garden tractor til i saw this one. I'm hoping its a manual trans. I've never owned a hydro unit and just don't know what.sounds normal on a older cub hydro is supposed. To sound like. I've been looking.around for s tank like machine. My trusty old Ford LGT 100 JUST.BLEW HER RIGHT ANGLE DRIVE BOX. I learned that parts for that old jacobsen are EXTINCT. Perfect example. Is the drive box. And after owning a few other tractors I've decided to go for a cub because if my understanding. Of parts supply is not generally. An issue with web sites like Brian Miller and a handful Of others. Any help is appreciated!

Welcome to OCC! Glad to have you! If it's a 147, it's a hydro drive. Your links are't coming up.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
