Default Look what followed me home from my neighbors shed!

I just got this Cub Cadet 125 from my neighbor. I did not know he even had it and I have lived here for 9 yrs. I had to replace the blown out incorrect sized front tires to drag it home. It came with 2 sets of weights, the set not on the tractor are massive!

The deck is not original, and the gas tank is not correct and the gov linkage homemade.......got it for 100 bucks with the 2 sets of weights. Is this the Lew price i keep reading about?

I like it. That seat is some thing else. Later model deck but hey it works, great job and a cool story about not knowing for so long. Probably makes you wonder what other stuff he has that you may not know about? Great score!

did some digging last night, it has a k241 engine.
whole lotta rig jobs on this tractor, figured so, knowing where it came from.
the brakes work, the hydro lever moves, and the throttle and choke cables are not siezed. it's missing the proper fuel tank and the gas tank mount.
going to see if it will fire on carb cleaner in a little while.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
