2284 PTO disengaging
Hello all,
Just finished mowing and the pto shut down about 3 times towards the end of the job. It would start back up each time but I'm wondering if my switch is going bad? Also got pretty hot today. Thanks!

Clean the PTO up and set the "air gap" to the specifications. Make sure your Battery is fully charged and in good condition.

Serial # 864,501 Thru 880,000 have an adjustable air gap above they are not adjustable.

Just to close this out -
It was a bad ring connector at the +battery post. their was a crack in the screw-tighten ring terminal so it was a little loose and killed the PTO on bumpy ground.
