Snow blade shoes thread continued...

I wanted to show what I did with my snow blade shoes and didn't want to hijack the other one any more than I already did.

Here are the old ones. Had to get new ones.



The polaris ones were bigger and black. I had to remove the nuts/bolts on the end of the wear strip to get them on. Once they were in place I could replace the wear strip nuts. They didn't look good black so paint was up next.



Not too concerning about the bottom since paint won't stay here long anyway.

IMO they look better on the blade than the old ones do. I thought they'd look like a giant zit because of the size but I think they fit OK.





I have to put finishing touches (paint) on them; the bolts/nuts, plus get them leveled off better once I mount the blade to the tractor for winter. I'm hoping the larger surface area of the new shoes will help the blade not trip as much.

I like them a lot. I think you will achieve the desired effect.

I have a walk-behind 2-stage that I put some larger poly skid shoes on from MTD/Arnold. Talk about a world of difference, wow. Any little dip in my gravel driveway didn't catch the small shoe, rather it just went right over the top of it without any issues. It was a good investment. Got tired of having the snowthrower "catch" in a hole, dip, or rut, stop while I keep walking, lunging me into the handle bars.

Looking good. Last year I replaced the snow blade shoes with the Polaris ones, just left mine black. Made a world of difference for 20$, over the wore out ones that were on it.
