Tourquing new deck blades on 108..?
Hey all. I just got a new set of deck blades for my 42" deck. I thought i saw somwhere that you needed to use a tourque wrench when installing them.
Do I need to do this,and if so to what ft/pounds.  Thanks in advance for any advice.

The service manual says 55 to 60 ft. lbs. I'm guessing that means "providing the friction washers and everything else is there..." I think all my friction washers are long gone, so mine get hammered on with the impact until they don't turn any more. I'm sure that's not exactly the right way, but I've never had a problem. FWIW, I use a little anti-seize on the threads also.

Thanks for the info Yosemite Sam. I didnt even consider friction washers and all. I'll go for 60 lbs of tourque and then make sure they dont turn when i'm done. Appreciate the reply.
