Default Majic Cub Cadet Yellow

Went to my local TSC. No Majic CC Yellow spray cans. Stating, "We no longer handle that color."

Is there a match, another brand;i.e.: Rustoleum; that matches? Equipment yellow perhaps? My local Lowes, a mile away, has the Rustoleum Equipment Yellow stock.

I just, for the time being, want to touch up foot rests along with a bit of the frame (showing to the public). Don't want eyes lookin' at CCC peelin' awful paint job do we?

Back when TSC carried Valspar I used alot of cub yellow.
Tried a can of the Majic and knew right away it was not gonna work.

So now I just order the Valspar from Amazon for touchup

Just a FYI, you can order Valspar from Lowes but you need to buy a case of 6 cans. I have 4 extra cans of IH white

I feel the same way, and if you order a 6 pk it's about $5 a can.

personally i think you got lucky it wasnt there...that paint really sucks....if you want enamel, i would try to find the CNH irongard...its not too bad price wise if you buy quarts..rattle cans are about 9-10bucks though...but for an enamel its pretty good..i think some guys have used rustoleum almond for the white, and a school bus yellow, but theyre not a match...

Maybe some of you don't know that John Deere now sells Cub Cadet paint. It is expensive like the green paint but it is real good paint. You can respray and area a year later and it will still match.

Rust Oleum has a match, it's not called cub cadet yellow but it's a match. Also, it's kinda hard to find. They have it at Menards though.

Thanks ol'George and IHCadetCollector.

At TSC the School Bus Yellow did in fact look close. I did download a color chart from MTD, sized just to show the yellow.

What was the Rustoleum yellow called? Was that also school bus yellow?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
