Default Some 1864 questions

Do the Kohler Commands in the 1864s run louder than the Kohler Mags in the 1812"s, etc ?

My 1864 seems a bit more loud. At idle is more rough than my 1812

The power pulses in the Command are uneven. You can count when each cylinder fires. Not so with the Magnum as it is smoother and even.

Totally different exhaust note but I don't know if one is louder than the other.

Try Kohler engines, if you can't find it send me your e-mail address and I'll send it to you.

I wonder if the baffles in your command muffler could be broken. Definitely different at idle as said above, but at WOT I kind of think the command is a bit quieter than a magnum.

Sam, do you run a 54" deck on your Harley or just a 48" mulching deck? Ag tires?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
