Default Original cub with hydraulic front end loader

Hi There,
I recently purchased an original with a front end loader and have no history on the loader. I was told it was originally an original add on, and all the tractor was used for. I'd like to find an older 36" bucket that I can use on a regular basis as the one on it looks perfect. Does anyone have any information on the possible loaders that were used on the original cub? Any help would be great!
Thanks

Garrett

Here's the Danco loader on an Original on my FIL's farm

click pics for larger view

He used it to "muck" out the winter steer pen since a regular sized tractor didn't fit.

I think that one is homemade.

Most all the loaders that were produced used the tower as a reservoir. That one has it's own tank.

Default Thanks for the insight

I appreciate your insight.. It does have an international decal on the fluid box but I'm sure that was not original.. I guess I'm surprised to hear that it's homemade, I was thinking it was an aftermarket manufacturer due to the consistencies in the build. Kudos to the fabricator!

Thanks guys

My guess is that you'll need to have a welding shop make a bucket for you unless you have the tools and ability to make one on your own. Nice looking O. Hope you post some more pics of it. From what I see it looks like a good Picture of the week candidate.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
