I was looking at a thrower on c/l and can make out the numbers on the plate.. 190 350 100 J166D , so how to cross reference this to find model #?. I am looking to find plow, thrower, and deck over time and would like to be sure to know what I'm looking at. Thanks, n have a good one.

I can't help you with the numbers but it would be helpful for the others to know what tractor you have so they can tell you what to look for.

That would be a valid attachment. It is a 40" Snowthrower for several Lawn Tractor models.

J166D = is the manufacturing code date = Oct 16, 1986 made in plant D

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
