Default Can't save them all.

I was at the scrap yard today to buy some tubing and spotted this sitting in the corner, I asked and was told $75 but there's really nothing left. It has a cage welded to the frame and fender because it was used in a tractor demo, the hood has a few big holes cut in it and the lift arm was cut off with a torch. I was told it ran when it came in but i turned it by hand and engine has little to no compression, the only thing that wasn't butchered or in need of replacement was the front axle so I left it there to die.

I'm thinking about going back at the end of the week and offering $50,. As for the rear end its hydro and of no value to me, I can hardly give a hydro rearend away around here. I was in a hurry so I'm not even sure what size engine it is, the only way I'd pay $75 is if its a 14 or 16hp.

i paid 50 for a 1200 that was way worse then that,but it had the creeper gear. at 50 i dont think you would get hurt if you sold off the good parts like the dash ,nose,etc.

I wouldn't bother with it. $75 to buy it and $1000.00 to get it to the point that you could sell it for $500.00 ask me how I know.

There's a lot of us that do that. Or better yet spend all the time and money and then never use them and no one ever sees them!

Ok Tim, might as well get it for the chains.

At least let us know if it's a 109, 129, etc so we can give it a proper burial. I mean we have to get the name right In the eulogy

i just sold a set of firestone turf tires off the 50 dollar 1200 i had for $20.00.if it is being bought for parts,you should be able to make some money if bought at $50.00.
