Well my first sleeve hitch kept bending... So I got our local machine shop to make me 2 better ones. The back plate is made out of 1/2 instead of 3/8, and there is a 3/8 plate joining the lift tab to the main arms. I painted one yellow, and one red.

I would have put that brace on top...because it sticks down, it's going to collect trash like you wouldn't believe.

If I put the brave on top... The lift straps would hit it AND I couldn't use the tiller mount. They don't collect trash too bad actually. I'm going find out how much the machine shop charges... And I might sell some!

I just found out the price. Ill sell unpainted ones for $150 CAD plus shipping. You won't be able to break them, they are very well built. They will come with a brand new hitch pin as well. Any takers? If you are interested, please specify if you will be using a tiller gearbox mount with it or not. If you aren't, the brace goes on top, but if you are, the brace goes on the bottom. I use tiller gearbox mounts with mine and have no problems.

Not bad, but there is room for improvement in that design. Like Matt said, relocating the brace from the bottom to another location would be better. If you would have lengthen the lift tab, then you could have place the brace between the yokes, therefore strengthening the lift tab and the two yokes at the same time. And lengthening the lift tabs would mean you wouldn't be interfering with the lift straps. Or you could have laid the brace down flat from underneath and then it wouldn't be sticking down like that. But it's a nice first try.

The way I have it is for a reason. It works with a tiller gearbox mount. And the brace is attached to the lift tab and the outside arms.
