Default New Member. Lurker for a long time !

Just wanted to say thanks for the acceptance and thanks for the help in my other thread ! I have wanted a Cub Cadet for forever, but never really got to looking. I do about 10 neighbors snow removal, and got sick and tired of using the snowblower. Snowblowers and good, but after that many driveways I am physically finished. I considered a plow on my truck, but didn't want the wear and tear.

A couple of weeks ago ( out of the blue ) I got a phone call from my cousin who was looking at a dirt bike. He told me that he was staring at a Cub 105 and a 1200, and that the guy wanted to get rid of them both. They were a package deal though, $600 for both. Without hesitation I jumped on them. I got them home, had some trouble with the 105's carburetor, and ended up selling it to a coworker who wanted to rebuild it and gift it to his father. I kept the 1200 as it had exactly what I wanted, the wheel weights and snow plow. I have put the 1200's picture up on a couple threads already, but wanted to show it off here. I am happy with my decision, and am anxious to see what it does plowing out the driveway.

P.S. I guess it's also starting memories. I don't have land to drive around like most of you guys, but my 4 year old LOVES the rides up and down the street !

Nice tractor... I grew up on a quietline 1450... You will be surprised what kind of work you can do with proper weight and chains on that thing..

Keep us posted...

Warning though.. these things grow on you... you will become attached and have more than one!!

Hello and welcome! I have a 1200 too great machine! Only knock I can give you on it is it will wear your arm out plowing snow with the manual lift. Get a spring assist if you don't have one already. Load the tires too. And get some chains if you don't have any.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
