Default Loader Question
Picked up a WH tractor with a johnson model 10 loader on it with intentions to move the loader to one of my 149's.

It is low on fluid and want to make sure I can use Hy-Tran to top it off.

Thanks for the help!

What is low on fluid, the loader, the WH or the 149?

i just use light hydraulic fluid on my kwik-way if thats what you mean but in winter that seems thick could use trans fluid in winter hy-tran would be kind of expensive in the loader

Since I don't know exactly what has been used in it, should I drain the old and put all new? First loader and want to make sure I use the right stuff.

Since your loader is plumbed with it's own pump and reservoir, it probably uses standard hydraulic fluid (like AW46), not trans/hydraulic fluid like Hytrans but I even seen some Hyster 5 tons lifter been fill with Canola oil because it was free so...

If I was you, I drain the system, repair the leak , install a inline filter (If you don't already have one) and fill back the system with standard or synthetic hydraulic fluid (Budget wise)

All good advice, one thing I might add is TSC sells a 505 fluid. it is pretty thick and gives problems in cooler temps so I would stick with a lighter weight fluid.
