Default LT Mower Deck

Hi all. I have a 2001 2166 with a trashed deck. I was given a 48" deck that I want to repair and use. But I don't have a clue how to identify the tractor that it came off of.
The tag on the deck
48" LT Deck 301190
S/N 513981.
My 2166 has the CH16 Kohler engine.

Thanks ...Wes Thompson

Wes

This is the list of tractors that came with that deck. 190-301-100
Cub Cadet 2160 Tractor S/N 239,001 - 326,005

Cub Cadet 2160 Tractor S/N 326,006 - 389,000

Cub Cadet 2165 Tractor S/N 239,001 - 326,005

Cub Cadet 2165 Tractor S/N 326,006 & Up

Cub Cadet 2185 Tractor S/N 1A031G & After

Cub Cadet 2185 Tractor S/N 239,001 - 326,005

Cub Cadet 2185 Tractor S/N 326,006 - 389,000 & 1I017G - 1I310G

Cub Cadet 2186 Tractor

Cub Cadet 2206 Tractor

Cub Cadet 2518-44 Tractor

Cub Cadet GT2523-54 Tractor

Now that said if it fits a 2165 it should fit a 2166. Only issue I can see is that the tractors listed have larger tires than the 2166 so maybe clearance could be a problem.

Thank you very very much. I've had this tractor for a while now and just got it running. Other than the deck the rest of it is in pretty good shape. Just fixed the ignition system (removed the SAM) and it runs well. Now for the deck and maintenance.

Smile 48" Deck

I answered my question about "will it fit?" HUng the 48" deck and nothing interferes anywhere.Time to rebuild the deck and have a nice 3 blade 48" deck with gauge wheels on it.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
