Hello all,
I just joined, excited to have stumbled across this site. I live just outside Anchorage. I've got a 3205 cub, it has the liquid cooled Kawasaki engine. I've had this for many years, it's a 1998 I believe. It's got the 60" deck, the 3 pt hitch, as well as the 42" hydro tiller. Showing about 80 hours on the hour meter, it just sits too much. The fuel line finally rotted out, so I just had some quality time with her, taking it apart, checking up on everything. It doesn't get used much, the 60" deck is just too big for my yard, and the lack of bagger and mulch kit options, she just sits. There is the occasional time I get to use the tiller or dump cart. I did add the 40th anniversary 3240 wheel centers and high back seat. I did make the dump cart a hydraulic dump and added a valve and custom hoses for that. Not much on future plans, I would like to find a 44" or 48" deck with a bagger, but not holding my breath there. Anyway, it's great to be here. A picture of it cleaned up after the new fuel line install. [Note - Cleaned up & enlarged image - Admin]

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
