Monster stereo receivers
Anyone else have or had any vintage stereo equipment? My dad got me hooked, he had a sansui qrx-7001 and some pioneers. He ran them on old movie theatre speakers. I told myself I was going to get my own when I bought my own house.
So last year I found a 1970's sansui 990db (same as 9090db just a black face). It's rated pretty conservatively at 120 watts per channel. When tested they can reach 160 pretty easily in 8 ohm and 240 watts in 4 ohm. The sound is nothing short of amazing. Right now I'm running a pair of cerwin vega AT-15's speakers, tons of bass and crystal clear highs. The sound is warm and just makes a person feel whole. I'd like to find some JBL monitors. This stuff was made almost 20 years before I was born back when things were made for a purpose and not just to be sold in big box stores to the masses, just like Cub Cadets!!!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
