Default Don't Watch The News!

Every time I watch the news, it's always something terrible going on. 75% of our young people are addicted to Opiates or Meth. Our Oceans are polluted by our Generation and will take 100yrs to recover if they ever do. It's always something bad and never any thing good. I think I will just check the weather on my PC? Puts me in a bad mood! The only good thing I have seen is the SpaceX landing after a trip to the ISS. Now that's another whole story.

You ain't the only one. Worse yet is the increase in local violence in my town, and it's migration toward my area. Probably why I spend so much time on OCC. Life is much simpler trying to figure out PO mods than solving the worlds problems.

Ronnie:

I agree. Haven't watched the crap on the evening news in a couple of years now. Seems the integrity is gone and the media is sliding into the black hole. The days of Chet Huntley, David Brinkley, Walter Cronkite, etc, are gone.

No news is good news? In my area, the news stations have resorted to cheap tawdry tricks to increase ratings......several of them have put some young girl out on their set as an anchor or weather girl who is wearing a tight sweater or the camera will take in the whole desk, where the girl is wearing a skirt, so they can show off her legs. The only kick I get from the news is when they screw up something with a wrong photo for the story line or something like that.

Hopefully, the "bad" news is just a sign of the times and will come to pass like other social trends.

I only watch some news in the morning before work. They only seem to promote violence and the destruction of America.

I got really mad a couple days ago watching the news. I can't recall what was going on, but I told my wife I was sick of it. I only watch it for the whether, and could care less about all the crap they throw in there. I told my daughter who was there with me when I was watching the news, that things have changed so much from when I was young. I miss the days of watching the Wizard Of Oz once a year. That was a big deal back then. Now you can see it anytime you want. You didn't see all of this crap on the news back then?

The media has no credibility! Keep your friends close and your enemies closer! Mike

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
