Question Hydro slow in reverse
Just got a 1994 model 1863 cub the guy said it was a little slow in reverse, but some times it takes a little time to get moving on an incline.

What could I do to fix it?

See if you can pull up on the brake pedal. Do that every time you let off the brake.

Go in the Technical Library Section and download any of the Service Manuals (ie: 82 Series). Cub Cadet used the Sundstrand Hydro and the procedure is all the same.

I applaud you for taking the time to look for a solution on your tractor by looking through old threads! But.... this is 7 years old, and the guy whom you are seeking answers from hasn't been on since October of 2011. Probably not going to get an answer from him.

I suggest finding the proper section to post in and start a thread. This time, list the model of tractor you have. That way we know what your working on.

On most models.... the hydro linkage has tie rod ends. They are screwed on the linkage. Pretty easy to figure out.....

Thanks Sam! I just noticed my 1440 is a lot slower in reverse than my 782 is. Looks like some "tinkering" is required.
