Default My new to me 125!

Okay, I am pretty excited about this one.

It has been a few months since my last cub purchase. When I saw this one today I could not get the trailer hooked up fast enough.

It was listed on craigslist for 200$ firm and the seller was the widow of the original owner. I got a lot of details from her about the history of the machine which was used on their 1.5 acre estate for grass cutting and snow plowing.

He purchased the unit new with Deck, plow, chains, and yes 2 sets of wheel weights. One set on inside of rims and other on outside of rims.

She told me it has not run since his passing 2 years ago but was used by him one week prior to his passing.

I checked the oil when i got there. Full and clean. The gas tank was clean and dry as a bone. Fuel valve was closed. I pulled the glass bowl and gave it a rinse with some fresh gas. Filled up the fuel tank and hooked up some jumper cables. The tractor coughed once and then started up. I opened up the choke and she puuurrred like a kitten. A few minutes later I was driving it onto my trailer. I am giving it a quick bath now but here it is with original dirt still in place. This might also be the cleanest deck I have ever gotten with a tractor. Very very solid.

It's a very capable machine. Ask me how I know. With all the goodies on it and it is already running, you can't argue with the firm $200 price.

Oh.. trust me. No arguments from me. I was happy to pay her firm asking price. Also she was a super nice lady and very happy to see it going to someone who really appreciates them. She had a tear in her eye while I was driving it out of the garage and she insisted on taking a couple pictures of me while driving to front of yard. I think her and I are both equally pleased. An excellent deal for both parties.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
