101 degrees with a heat index of 110 TODAY, tomorrow 103 with a heat index of 115. and yes i was working on it today. about 15 minutes or so much sweat in my eyes, i couldn't see. then i'd come in and cool off for a bit then back at it. weather man says next week will be worse than this one. i am ready for some fall weather!! all i like on getting the cub going is rerouting the exhaust pipe out from under the hood and mounting the stack and the putting the grill and hood back on. jeff

Here's to all the guys who persevere, ignoring the elements, to get the job done!!!

Job well done Jeff!!! Sometimes, I laugh at myself after things are up and running once I figure out just how simple of a fix I overlooked earlier.

Great pics Jeff! I don't know how your doing it in that heat. My garage has been to hot for me to work on when I get off work at midnight, but I work in the heat at work.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
