Hi , I think this site is great ! I am the proud owner of a 123 Hydrostatic. It has been in my family since new (1967) . It was my Grand Fathers he had 13 acres up in East Durham NY . When the house was sold in 1998 , it was put out to pasture here in NJ , cutting mere inches of grass instead of feet .
My cub is currently ill and is getting treated over at Clifton Power in Little Falls NJ . The patient is in need of a new head gasket or has a warped block or head . This is the third time in 2 years it was in for treatment. Hope 3 times is the charm.
I will post some pictures of the recovered patient soon .

It's great that you have been able to keep your 123 in the family. Hope she comes back healthy and gives another 40 years of service!

Default Pictures of Patient

Got my Cubby back today , turned out to be only a $21 fix the ignition coil , George over at Clifton Power in Little Falls , must have felt bad he did not fix first time . Thanks George .
Well as promised I have some pictures of the old 123 , 43 years young . I think I may paint the wheels and mower deck and hood .
But for right now happy it is running well again and being able to cut the grass.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
