Default 127 hydramatic oil type
What is everyone running in their hydramatic trans? Cub Cadet brand is kind of pricey. And I'm sure it's just somebody else's oil in a branded bottle.

I'm sure you don't have a Hydramatic transmission in your cub cadet.
"Hydramatic" is a 4 speed transmission that was built in Ypsilanti Mi. for the 1940 and succeeding years Olds/Cadillac, and in later years, more Gm vehicles.
You have a Hydrostatic variable speed unit built by Sundstrand (now sunstrand/sauer/Danfoss.
They built for many mobile vehicles, including cub cadet/IH John Deere, Massey,Cushman, just to name a few.
You can use Hy tran, Hy guard or any hydraulic oil that is equal to them as well as ATF type F as per sundstrand.
A lot of folks go to there local farm & fleet store and purchase their brand.
I find 303 hyd oil is a bit thick for cooler temps.
Some say it just will not flow under freezing temps.
If you are the type of person that has to have genuine Harley oil in yer Harley,
Then you do as your feelings dictate.

I put Traveller brand "Hytran" from Tractor Supply in my Cub 882 years ago and haven't had any performance issues, hot or cold weather. It's just about time to dump it out and get some fresh in there. I'll see what it looks like inside and report back here if I get to it in time.

The last time I needed some I switched out to Mobil 424 as it seems to be well respected. At that time (and by happy accident, at this time as well) Mobil was running a rebate on it. I ordered 5 gallons of it from Summit for $70 w/tax, after rebate. It's never a problem for me to get over the $99 threshold for free shipping with Summit either.

I'm ditto with TheSaturnV on TSC' Traveller. With a couple of TSC stores locally, it's convenient to get.
