Default Not start a fight

Just wondering how the US members are being affected by the new Tariffs
Now as the title states this is not about starting arguments etc it is about how it genuinely is happening
Greg I hope I have not stepped over the line in the sand

I do not think so. We can have a conversation and not get political, I hope. lol
If it does we will shut it down.

It has not affected me any that I have noticed until today. We bought a new shower head for one of the bathrooms in December of last year. 34.98 plus tax.

We liked that one so we decided to buy another tonight at Lowe’s. Same one was 41.98 at the same Lowe’s.

It has actually helped us at the Plant I work at. We supply engines to the vehicle assembly plant and they are adding a new shift that pulled production volume from Japan to the USA.

There is a 90-day hold on them right now; IE is not being enforced except for China. Probably where we will see them first in the tractor world is tire costs will go up unless new deals are signed before the 90-day hold is up.

These are some of the reports that are popping up in Australia
https://au.yahoo.com/news/just-got-f...031602482.html

https://au.yahoo.com/lifestyle/resta...143602865.html

Maybe if you tell them it is a part for an Apple phone no tariff will be applicable

I work for an equipment manufacture in the construction industry within the last 10 years 90% of our manufacturing has moved to China. I hated to see it, but the quality is actually better than what we were making in the United States.

I would love to see all manufacturing in the United States however I get to some facilities That are mainly automotive that in my opinion, the union has destroyed. In those facilities, it is about taking a break and not working just doing the minimum to be necessary. Therefore, when I hear of tariffs basically encouraging United States manufacturing, I support it even though it definitely is going to affect the way the company I work for does business.

Don't get me started, lol. An IRA that I inherited from my mother when she passed has lost several thousand dollars since the announcement of the tariffs. First noticeable dip since I inherited it a few years ago.

What is an IRA and how does it work?
An IRA, or Individual Retirement Account, is a tax-advantaged retirement savings account that offers tax benefits, including income tax-free or tax-deferred growth - which can help your retirement savings grow faster than it would in a traditional savings or investment account.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
