Default What parts do I need
OK...So I have a 149 with a 38" deck (not sure it's the origina deckl) and one of the spindles is toasted and the other two are a bit noisy. So what I need is the part number for a whole new spindle ass'y for the far right blade and new bearings for the other two spindles. Can anyone tell me what the part numbers are? I tried to find a serial number on the deck but no dice. It's been painted over about a million times. Thanks in advance

Is there any chance you can get one of the spindles off of the deck and get us a picture? Some of these assembly's have been changed or upgraded over the years.

Diz is right. There were several generations of 38" decks. We either need the model number off the tag that was riveted to the shell of the deck, or a picture.

if this helps from what i have researched i have found first generation had rear wheels and cast iron end pieces, second generation had same rear wheels and steel plates replaced the end pieces and the third and last generation that ended in 74 had just runners with no wheels. this can be found on parts look up by entering the tractor # and then looking up attachments.
