Default homemade deck

What would be the biggest size blades that you could swing under a 108? I'm thinking about building a deck and putting circular type blades on it. Check out this site for a better description of the blades. www.meg-mo.com oh yeah, the 108 has a 12hp on it. Thanks Jeff

oh, i agree with you 100%!!!!! i wasn't gonna buy his. i was gonna fab my own, but not to sell, just for my own personal use and i do service all my mowers, so them flying off is not a major concern. the only thing i would hit is a tree, i am well over 300 yards from the nearest dwelling, have no outside pets, and the wife and kid dang sure ain't gonna be around when daddy is doing work!!!! LOL. i have some "weeds" that a brand new blade and me sitting over the clump, won't cut, it just twists it. i don't know what kind it is, but when it is really tall, it has seed? on it that you can pick and throw, kinda like a minature arrow. when i get my lift lever fixed on the 108, i will be making a deck out of 7 gauge steel and two HEAVY duty spindles my dad got from who knows what and i will go from there. i will keep everyone posted on the progress. jeff

I am wanting a powered mower to pull with a 3pt hitch you cant get a belly mower to mow more than 8 in tall grass and then you have to crawl cub cadets are a great tractor no doubt my one complaint is the mower blades just knaw thru grass as the blades do not spin as fast as most mowers you might want a brush hog style blade ( swinging on a flywheel) I have a spare 6 hp im using if I need to mow 4ft tall grass I could I know this is a old post just wanted to state my view

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
