Default Snow Plow fit question

I have an 1882 super and I found a snow plow /dozer blade on craigslist

The seller states it will work for an 1882, but it was taken off a 1650. I checked cubcadet.com and looked at the exploded parts view and it looks like the sub frame is different.

Does anyone have any idea if this will work or not?

http://columbus.craigslist.org/grd/2035487008.html

Thanks for the help.

No, it will not. The seller doesn't know what he's talking about. It won't fit more than half the tractors he lists.

Per Cubcadet.com, it is 401 54" Snow Blade, 190-401-100.

I found one on eBay but the price was over 700.00 which I think is crazy.

If you go to cubcadet.com and do a parts look up, under product model #, put in 1882, you can see all the attachments for our tractors.

Keep your eyes open, I found one at the end of last year on Craigslist for 300.00 and drove up to Mass. from Pa. to get it .Then mid Summer I found another near Reading Pa. for 75.00 but no hydraulics. I put the best of both on my 1872 today and have allmost enough to build another one. This is my first year with a Super to plow snow with and I'm going to enjoy not getting off the tractor to change the angle .

Here's a picture of a 54" blade for a SGT. Wish I still had this.

Thanks Allen. I posted a picture of it on another Cub Cadet site and this guy emailed me and asked how much I'd take for it. I really hadn't thought about selling it but when he said name your price, I let it go. He drove all the way from the East Coast to central Illinois to buy it.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
