Default 782 hydraulics

I have 2 782s that both dont have front hydraulics. My question is could I take the lines and valve from one to make the other have front hydraulics without a major project on my hands. Would it be practial or not?

All you should have to do is move everything from the tranny pump to the dual spool (along with the dual levers and hoses ect) to the other tractor.. As far as practical, it all depends if it would be less work transfering the good parts from the non dual tractor to the dual tractor to make it better, assuming that you want to do this because the dual hydro tractor is in lesser shape?

Possible? Yes, practical? no

You would have to find a place to mount the second single spool valve & control lever, as there is no room on your original column.
Then plumb the return-to-hydro line from the original spool valve to the “in” on the new valve then back to the hydro.
In other words, like cutting a garden hose and putting another valve in the line.
Or “in series”
It would be much simpler to obtain a dual spool valve from a salvage cub or a more common John Deere tractor with a dual spool valve. You can fab your own lines from 3/8” fuel/brake line available from napa etc.
Hope this explains what is involved

Jay,sorry I wasn't more clear, both tractors are single spool, but I would like to have front hydraulics.Right now I mainly need to get the better one driveable I may try to find a dual spool down the road the other I might just use for parts or get it running too.My first concern is moving my plow from my atv to the tractor. "byGeorge I think you got it" good idea thanks for the help

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
