This is the only item I don't have for the 3 point lift for my 782. Does anyone happen to know the dimensions for this bar?

Dwayne,
I'm at work right now but when I get home this afternoon I can measure one for you unless someone gets to it quicker. I think I have one out. |

Dwayne,
I found the one I have out off my 782. It is 26" long x 1-3/8" wide. Both holes are 1" in from each end to the center of the hole. The one hole is 1/2" diameter and the other hole is 3/4" diameter. If you need anything else let me know. |

That 3/4" hole is NOT a through hole, it's a hole (probably 1/2" or 3/8", whatever size the clevis pin that holds it to the rockshaft is) with a 3/4" counterbore.

Thanks for the heads up Matt. I'll pull the cover and get a view of what is going on with that.

Dwayne,
You ever have a chance to look at your lift block plate yet? I just looked at another one of my three point hitch setups that came off an 82 series and both bars I have are 3/4" thru holes at that end. |

No, I haven't had a chance. I was out yesterday with the 129 and the trailer doing a burn pile. I need to get the tunnel cover off and look at the connection spot. One post I found on another site had pictures of how to hook up the lift bar, and they showed using a 2 1/2 head pin holding the bar to the lift mount. The bar was counter sunk to allow the head of the pin to ride flush once installed. I will try to look at it this weekend maybe. My daughters birthday is consuming the weekend, LOL. But am hoping I can get out into the shop and do some investigating.

Mine has 3/4 holes in it. It has a bushing that reduces down to the size of the 1/2" bolt PLUS it allows for the movement of the bar.
UPDATE.. See attachment...

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
