Default Best Spray Paint

New here, just picked up a 77 1250. Looking to repaint it and wondering what is my best option for quality spray paint that will match the factory white and yellow colors.

When you say spary paint do you mean cans or spray gun paint?

I like Van Sickle paint. I do all my painting with buzz cans.

you dont need a fancy spray gun to do good job. Just a little prep work, and some patience.

find a tractor supply... they carry the correct colors. If you dont have one close, order it offline! I have used these and the color match is perfect.

A $20 Harbor Freight HVLP gun will do a better job than rattle cans. The paint is actually cheaper when sprayed with a gun because you are paying for the paint itself and not the applicator each time, and you have a lot more options for quality. Somewhere in the tech library there are paint codes for auto paints that are pretty economical and will match.

Awhile back someone posted some sort of re-fillable spray cans that you can use with auto paint, implement paint, etc. out of a quart can mixed with the proper amount of reducer and hardener. I know I'm gonna get crucified for this, but if you want to have it look nice for a long time, there is no rattle can paint that can compare to the coverage, shine, or durability of even cheap auto paint. I have painted with both rattle cans and various types of paint applied with a gun, and I will never paint anything other than parts that get dragged through the dirt with a rattle can.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
