Default Hard to get motivated.

It's been crazy hot and humid here which has made it really hard to get motivated to work on anything outside, I need to build a ramp for my shed but after spending all day out in the heat all I want to do when I get home is relax in the a/c. I'm hoping some cooler weather or at least a breeze is on its way.

In my opinion, it's harder to be motivated, but not have the time. I need a ramp on my shed too.... but I have a mile long list of things like that that need done.... and never enough time to do it. Kids, garden, yard, work, wife..... they all take up most of my time. The yard has been hard to stay on top of this year alone due to all the rain. Lance reminded me the other day that there are only 4 months left in the year. Need to finish that snow blower I started on earlier this year. Going to need it before we know it!

I agree with all that was mentioned, now add in age, arthritis and a bad back. My easy chair is extremely hard to get out of without motivation!

I agree as well. There is a new line starting up at work for the new Altima and I just found out that I am getting moved. We start 12 hour days Tuesday. The yard work is behind, shop work is behind. I have worked the weekends since I got the 782DT from Doc. No time to play with it.

You ain't that far south of me, I gotta ask WHAT rain? Until the last 10 days we have had almost none. Went over a month between mowings, now the yard is in "overdrive" trying to make up for all the growing that it didn't do the last half of June, all of July and the first half of August. We're talking brown and crunchy grass. Our corn fields are drying out early because of it as well

Oh, it's rained here all summer long! Every week, no more than 10 days between rains that I recall. Even if we only got .1", we got rain. It's been nuts. All the crops look good here though! Corn is starting to turn, but that is due to it's age, not lack of rain. Plus.... it is September. The plant a lot earlier than we used to.

Stop spending so much time criticizing people on here for not doing their due diligence and get to work on that list!

Hardest times of the year for me to get motivated: deep winter's cold and deep summer's heat.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
