Brinly "Veggie" Planter
About 5 years ago, I came across a Brinly “Veggie” Planter. I was told these are very rare. It was in terrible shape when I bought it. I disassembled it, fixed all the worn and broken welds then had it Powder Coated. I have accumulated 6 different seed plates and I’ve planted our sweet corn patch and green beans with it for the past several seasons. It is a lot of fun to plant with. I had no intension of putting the fertilizer box back on since I'd never use it. Plus without it, I can see from the seat how much seed I have remaining. Here are some before and after restoration pics.

Would definitely love to see that in action. Outstanding job on it, the thing looks brand new in the pics.

Hubman, The little hopper holds about 1 lb. of sweet corn. (Black Arrow) As the press wheel turns the silver seed plate, the teeth grab one seed and drop the seed down the shaft. (Green Arrow) I have seed plates for different crops and 2 for different spacing’s for sweet corn. I always use the 8 inch spacing per seed drop plate. It plants very accurate seed population.

Classic!! Great job on it.....I agree, that would be a blast to plant with. Hope you have the video camera ready for spring planting....we definately need to see this beauty in action. GREAT job on restoration....looks great.
