Default CC 2182 WG600 carb rebuild.

I just picked up a new to me 2182 with a 54" deck with 1700 hours. It was leaking gas around the carb. I disassembled the carb and cleaned it. That took care of the leaking. However its not running great and I'd like to do a carb rebuild but it doesn't seem like anyone produced such a kit and a new carb is $500.

Has anyone successfully found a kit or just found the individual gasket and seal part numbers?

I have a good source for Kubota parts. I will email him Monday and see if Kubota makes a kit.

You can get the needle and bowl gasket, you have to buy them separately, and honestly not cheap. I think I paid $30 something, a month or so ago. The dealer was able to hunt it down for me.

Mine doesn't have a bowl gasket. The bowl screws up into the body of the carb.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
