HF tire changer
Been looking at the mini tire changer at Harbor Freight, watched some videos, etc. Does anyone have experience with this unit specifically will it work with the wide tires used on the supers? They say up to 12" rims, but the unit doesn't look big enough for the wide tires.

I have use one many times but always on the smaller front tires. I don't
think it will do you much good on the bigger rear tires. It is a bit of a learning curve, lots of lube is you friend for sure, and a bit of muscle. I have more then got my money out if it though. Pretty handy little tool. Ken |

I used mine to break the bead on a 26/12/12 from my Kubota. Worked fine for that but can’t say if it will change a tire that wide.

Thank you Ken and Adam. 26 12 12 is the same size as the super rears, no? Im going to go ahead and grab one next time I'm there, even if it wont to the rears, it'll take care of a lot of other equipment I have around here.

I use the mini for front tires and the regular tire changer for the rear tires. If you have room for both that's the way to go.

I have the Northern tool equivalent at work. I have modified it some, after bending the factory threaded rod, I drilled and tapped to 5/8. As well as added some length to it for the bigger stuff. Mounted on some scrap stand I found.
I have a full size powered changer also. But this works well for front tires on zero turns. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
