2011 LTX1050 Rear Seal Leaking
Hey Folks,
This is my inaugural post, so please take it easy on me. I have an LTX1050, that is leaking from the little black seal on the bottom of the rear transmission assy. I believe it seals the tranny detach mechanism? Either way, it's leaking. I have a new seal, but my question is... how do I get the old one out? Drilling, screwdriver, prybar etc?Or do I have to disassemble the whole differential? I attached some pictures, hopefully they come through. Thanks in advance! dunney |

Thank you
Thanks evhev. Ironcially, its not the same seal that's leaking, but it sure looks like it. I will try to the "screw out" method and see if it works. Thanks!

I followed the youtube guy's instruction on how to use a screw to back it out.
My gasket was slightly more stubborn, even after heating it. If 1 screw is good, 4 must surely be better, right? |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
