Default 2084 Worth ?

I just bought a 2084 at a sale, to clean up and sell in the spring. After driving it, I might want to keep it. It starts and runs smoothly. Everything works, 54" deck, plastic and metal all intact with no major dents or scratches. Paint and plastic look good. Just over 1000 hours on the meter. Never had one of these, feels very solid. I really like it after driving it around just a little. If I decide to sell in the spring, what is the ballpark range I could get for it? (East-central PA)

If you use it very long you won't want to sell it! Those are really nice tractors!

So you bought it at an auction having no idea what it's worth? I hope you didn't over bid.

Market is pretty soft at the moment. I see nice ones sit around for $1k-$1500. If everything works well and no major issues I’m guessing 800-1k would move it.

thanks Gompers for at least having the kahoonas to throw a number out. I was thinking around a 1000, so thanks you. It seems like a very solid unit. I might keep it.

I didn't realize it took kahoonas to "throw out a number" when no pics and very little info is given. Now I feel emasculated.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
