100 Face Lift
Well what started out as a clean up of the 100, turned into a complete face lift. I was just going to put some new gaskets in the engine, and clean and touch up a few things led me to tear everything apart.
It's not going to be a restore, but I am going to sandblast what needs it, and repair a few cracks, and put on some new paint, a little more than a touch up, but not a 100 points restore.

 I like the way you do a "clean up" of a tractor, LOL. I am looking forward to seeing the progress.

Todd,
I always do things twice or three times anyway. Its nice we can find some spares to fix these old machines! Sounds like you have some cleaning to do. I liked the Aircraft remover paint stripper. Still had to do a lot of scraping and wire brushing even with that! Will be nice when you get the 100 back on four feet! Regards, Chris

Well I got the "old" transaxle from my 100 in the 102. Filled with fluid so I can move it around, got it put away in the cub barn. Just don't know what to do with it, I really don't need another one, but! Maybe sell it as is with the broken gear, if someone wants a project, don't know yet.
Next week get back at the 100, our rifle season opens this weekend, so there will be no cubbin over the weekend. I opened up the rear and shifter on the 102's transaxle to check out the gears before I start removing the oil and paint, everything looked good. I see there seems to be quite a bit of gathered up dirt around the right side of the trans. would that be a gasket thing? Seeing I have it on the bench, would it be a good idea to replace both of the axle tube gaskets?
