Default New from middle TN with a 982

I have a mid to late 80s (yellow and white) Super Cub 982 with an Onan 19.9 performer and a 60in Haban deck. Bolts that hold the transaxle to the frame are either loose or stripped, reared shifts position slightly when going from forward to reverse. Tractor is showing a little under 800 hrs. Hasn't been started in about 3 years, but ran very smooth with no smoke when last ran. Has been stored under carport since. Front tires are pretty well shot, backs appear usable. I do have the engine side shields and tunnel cover as well as the mule drive and deck sub-frame. So what's it worth? I need to sell and am open to offers. For some reason I can't at this time upload any pictures.

I was there Saturday. It almost was on my trailer, I told him about this site. We had a good visit, wish I could have hung around longer.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
