Convert blade subframe from Original to wide frame
I bought what the seller said was a snow blade and subframe for a wide front cub, but after getting it home I realized the subframe looks to be for an Original (and slightly hacked to make it fit a wideframe). It seems to mount ok on my 129, but there is little room between the front of the tractor and the blade, which I think will limit lifting height and angling the blade (there's even a brazed repair where the POs front right wheel wore through the blade). It came with a new lift rod which looks like it would fit a wideframe subframe, but is too long to work with the subframe I have. I guess I'll do a little welding to extend the length of the subframe, I found the proper dimensions here. Has anyone seen pictures/instructions from someone doing this? I couldn't find anything.
IMG_20151108_200630.jpg IMG_20151108_200559.jpg IMG_20151108_195817.jpg In this picture the subframe is hooked into the bar under the tractor, but I didn't lift the subframe up to hook the two bolts in the subframe into the quick-attach slots, but it looks like they fit.

Rather than trying to cobble that together, try putting an ad in the wanted section for the correct sub-frame and put an ad in the for sale section for the sub-frame that you have.

Wow.....I looked for years for the correct subframe for my original and to think someone out there had one and made a wreck of it for means of re-purposing it for a cub that it was never intended to fit--OUCH!

Yeah, the fingers that fit over the footrest bar have been cut deeper, and one arm is bent in to make it work on a wide frame. I got it fully mounted it on my 129 and it fits well enough, you just can't angle it all the way without rubbing a tire or raise the blade all the way. I guess I'll use it as-is until I can find a proper wide-frame subframe.
