Default good day for attachments

i found on craigslist an add for a snowthrower, mower deck, tiller and sickle bar. i called the man and he had JUST sold the sickle bar, no matter. i have two anyways . but anywho, i went to the mans house with intention of just buying the tiller. we worked out a price and loaded the tiller in my truck, but he said "you know....i don't really wanna keep these other attachments...just give me $10 for the snowthrower and you can have the mower deck" i forked over $10 and loaded up a nice 42" snowthrower and 38" cast end deck. he also gave me about 500 belts of various sizes.

this is what i ended up with

extremely great condition #1 tiller (no rust at all! tines still have paint on them)
extremely great condition CC42 snowthrower (only small rust and a dent in the bottom
okay shape cast end 38" deck. (has had patches on it, but has the pulley guards intact and bearings are tight)

next week i go to pick up a 1200 with 44" deck and 42" snowthrower, a 1961 Original with nice timed deck, and a Bolens QT17 with snowthrower and rototiller, and i just ordered the trunnion repair kit for my 1450 and 129. can't wait. my garage will be full.

all in all, been a good day. ill have to post pics of the tiller because i have no idea wether the decal on the back is factory or an add on.

All of the paint and tins look great! The larger tiller decals are correct but the Cadet decals I've seen are placed on the back plate not under the IH decal. What does the smaller decal between the IH and and cadet say? I think someone added that there.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
