Reverse/seat relays
While searching for parts for my 1986 1210, I found out that the 5 terminal seat relay and reverse relays were sourced from GM, as it is an A/C blower/wiper/headlight relay depending on year/make/model. While this part 725-0895/925-0895 is still available through MTD Cub Cadet, the price is a staggering $66, and probably sourced from China or Mexico. I have found several NOS USA made relays for a third of that. Here are some of the interchange part numbers:
Standard RY-12, Delco 1115826, Delco 1115858, Delco 15-8169, Delco 19106614, Duralast 19812, 1R1219, Gold Seal 2-DR1009, 2073828, 2226969, 2N2915, Four Seasons 35767, GM 3989214, Wells 56-1684, GM 89057568, Echlin AR109, AR109SB, Kem AR159, Delco D1724C, DR1009, Santech MT0511, BWD R365, RAC1274, JD191K13 Now, the later 4 terminal reverse relay 725-0894/925-0894 are now listed as NLA through MTD Cub Cadet. Again, this was a GM sourced A/C blower relay. Here are some interchange numbers: Standard RY-11, Echlin AR108, GM 2072624, Delco D1751, Kem AR161, Four Seasons 35765, BWD R367, Wells 56-1683, Duralast 19811, Santech MT0512, JD191K16

Relays have three specifications. (A) Contact rating [ie: 20A], (B) Coil voltage [ie: 12V], and (C) Switch configuration [ie: SPST].
The 725-0895 is a 12V, 30A, SPDT Relay. The Bosch #0 332 209 150 (among others) is a 12V, 30A, SPDT Relay for about $10.00. Not a hard decision for me.

I get it. The reverse blade shut off is a total PITA, and adds more wear to the PTO clutch.
I do make sure the seat safety safety system works, in the unlikely/unfortunate event I'm thrown or fall off the tractor. Back to the relays, I have located Standard brand direct fit units for around $10. Packaging did not state country of origin.

Reverse PYO Switch
I have a recently purchased 1862. When you go to reverse it shuts off the PTO.
Too much wear on the PTO and switch. How can I make it not do this??? Thanks and have a great day. Bob |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
