Default New to me 55

Well, I just got a 55 today, it is a well used and not well taken care of unit.

It has a 5 HP Tecumseh. The carb is a blob of electrolisis. But some carb cleaner sprayed in it, and it started.

I hope y'all can bread down some of these numbers for me.

Where do you find the Carb #?

The engine numbers are as follows

TVM125 60246P C

DOM 4165 D

Tractor Model number 55 GA

IH Data plate Number 0300006U017831

Thanks,

Jon

On the tecumsehs it is looked up off your model number, but the part number is 632233A, and the rebuild kit is 632235. A good site I use to look up parts is partstree.com they tend to have very clear diagrams. Hope this helps some, and

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
