Hello from the mountains of NC
Retired airline worker here.
I have an XT2 SLX 50. Great mower but it leaves a 2 to 3 inch strip uncut constantly. Anyone have a solution for this? It has been doing it since new. |

Welcome from east central NC , neighbor. Where in the mountains are you located?
I bet of you asked about your mowing problem in the tractor section you'd get an answer! My first guess would be that it has the wrong blade somehow.

Home in Alleghany County NC.
Many years at UA, I was a tech for UA in EWR on 9/11. Most recently retired from DL Connection in RDU. The blades were original and the replacements were correct p/n. I found the blade tips had a 1.5 inch gap when the tips were aligned. It is now with a CC service center for them to fix under warranty. They looked at me like I had 2 heads when I went to them with the problem and told them what I had found. I did level the deck per the manual. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
