Default Christmas to myself

Everybody is showing Christmas stuff so here is what I decided I needed, runs like a top thanks to advice from Jmech.
Has a one point and hydrolics but I have no attachments yet. I haven’t looked up the year but I’m guessing a 1955. Don’t know what the PO did with it to need two sets of weights but I think there is more weight on the rear wheels than the rest of the tractor added together

Congrats Terry.
We've got a 1956. They are a good "little" tractor.
And a very Merry Christmas to you and yours...

Nice!

Merry Christmas Terry! Glad it runs now!

Oh,,,,, if you don't want those extra wheel weights, they would look nice on my Lo-Boy. I already have one set on it, but I'd take another! I still spin the tires on it trying to work it, lol.

very nice, very nice indeed....I believe 53 is when they switched to under slung exhaust so this might be pre 1953

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
