Hi,

My name is Mark

I just found this site and signed up.

I have a cub 129 and a 2135 (for sale).

I purchased the 129 in June of this year. It came with a 42" mower deck and 42" snow plow. I was looking for a site that can help with maintenance questions and info about the 129 and happened on this site. Caught my attention with the old Cub at the top so I signed up.

I had the 2135 for about 8 years and although it works great and have had no issues with it, I wanted an old garden tractor to be able to do much harder work around the property (back ain't what it used to be). So now that I purchased the 129 and it is running good, I do not I have room for 2 Cubs unfortunately so the 2135 has to go.

See you in the forums,

Mark

Hi Jeff,

I know exactly where Zionsville is (drove through many a time). I am on west side of Allentown near Wescosville.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
