Default Inherited Some Junk?

Hello all, I’m new to this site and I’m hoping someone can help me figure out what my stuff is worth so I can post it on craigslist. I have inherited a 1976 Cub Cadet 1200 series lawn tractor. Pretty sure it’s a parts tractor for whoever buys it. Serial number 2050580U588931. Its missing the air cleaner as far as I can tell. I’ll tell you the good things about it. The rear tires look great, the cutting deck looks great, it comes with 2 snow plows and a snow thrower attachment that turns nicely. The trans seems to catch and there is a key to it. That is all I know about it. Any help would be appreciated.

It has a creeper gear too. What are your plans for this machine?

You have some decent options on the 1200 like the creeper gear (hi/low range) as well as the spring assist. The creeper makes the tractor go really slow while snow throwing/tilling. The spring assist is an adjustable mechanism that aids in picking up the attachments like the blade and thrower, deck, etc. the 1200 is a little rough with missing/incorrect exhaust pieces.

As everything goes, the attachments, tractor, and options will go for far more money seperate than they will together. I would say for everything pictured together as a bundle $350 to 400 or so. You are in cub land so there are plenty around there. Good luck.

PS this site is an example of one persons junk is another persons treasure but we are glad you posted. Put an ad in the for sale section here

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
