Transporting a vertical air compressor
Can a 80gal verticle air compressor be drained of oil and layed down to haul on a trailer ok? Or would it be better not to? I don't see what it would hurt if you drain the oil. Any input would be great, thanks! Brian

Ive moved a few that size and larger short distances without even draining them...but then again I'm lazy and they were old and we wernt to worried about them. But never had a issue

Thanks guys! I'm didn't figure it would be an issue, but wanted some opinions. The trailer I'm gonna use is not much bigger than the compressor so didn't want to chance it standing upright. Don't know if I'll go get it tomorrow or not, will post some pics. Thanks again!

I don't think laying it down would be an issue. Just crank it through and make sure it is not hydro locked before plugging it in.
